Wendy was born and raised in Southern Ontario and moved to Thunder Bay in 1982. Wendy is able to communicate in American Sign Language. She began her nursing career as a Staff Nurse in 1987, including working in Neurosurgery, Cardiac, Chronic Care, Rehabilitation, Palliative and ABI Units. Wendy obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing with a minor in Gerontology in 2004.

Wendy has obtained and continues to maintain her designation as a Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP) and is currently pursuing the Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) designation. Wendy is a member of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada, (VRA) - formerly the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Professional - CARP, and the College of Nurses.

Wendy has worked with hundreds of clients with injuries ranging from soft tissue, brain injuries to amputations and she has completed numerous assessments as well as providing comprehensive Case Management.
