Mary Beth was born and raised in Southern Ontario and moved to Thunder Bay in 1987. She attended the University of Western Ontario and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education (faculty now known as Kinesiology) with a minor in Psychology. Following, she became a Registered Nurse and has worked as an RN on medical as well as surgical units in acute care hospitals both in Southern Ontario and in Thunder Bay. She began working as a Rehabilitation/Case Manager in 1992.
Mary Beth founded IRM in 1997 and achieved her Rehabilitation Registered Nursing (CRRN), Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP) and Registered Community Support Specialist (RCSS) designations. Mary Beth is a member of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada, (VRA) - formerly the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Professional - CARP, and the College of Nurses and the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses.
Mary Beth has worked with clients with injuries ranging from soft tissue to catastrophic injuries. She has completed numerous courses in the area of rehabilitation, including traumatic brain injury, case management, chronic pain and life care planning.
